After the plane lands at the airport, we will pick you all up and then drive directly to the hotel to do the check-in. The entire crew meets at the end of the day at the booked hotel or a nearby cafe for an in-depth chat that helps to learn all about the trip before it officially begins the next day.

DAY 2: HANOI MOTORCYCLE TOUR TO VU LINH VILLAGE (THAC BA LAKE, YEN BAI)
Now the cross-border motorcycle tour officially begins. The whole team will enjoy a ride on rugged dike roads that followred river, then go all the way to the famousThac Ba-See. On the road you will see beautiful landscape scenes with endless magnificent rice terraces and lush green tea plantations.
Thanks to the construction of the hydroelectric power station in the 1970s, the Thac Ba Lake was also formed and became one of the largest lakes in Vietnam. Keep going until we arriveDao-Dorfin Vu-Linh. Here we enjoy an amazingly relaxing overnight stay in a homestay of the hospitable Dao.
The 180km route will tire you out, but your eyes will surely be rewarded with breathtaking views. Enjoy a relaxing dinner prepared by the friendly hosts, who are big drinkers and throw parties daily. Homestay in Vu Linh will be great for the night.
DAY 3: THAC BA MOTORCYCLE TOUR TO PHU YEN (SON LA)
Let's spend the last farewell to the great Dzao hosts before continuing the 180 km routeThac Ba to Phu Yen(son La). In the morning we say goodbye to the friendly Dzao people and continue cycling on a paved road passing through hills with popular tea plantations to finally reachBa Khe T junction.
At the crossroads we take a short break before turning onto the national road 32 that leads to RenomméeLung-Lo-Pass. With a total length of 15 kilometers, the pass was an important route for the Vietnamese people to clandestinely transport goods, food and weapons during the historic Dien Bien Phu campaign in 1954.
The pass suffered heavy bombing from the strong French forces with severe damage. Then the Lung Lo Pass was officially recognized as a national heritage by the Vietnamese ministry.
DAY 4: PHU YEN MOTORCYCLE TOUR TO MAI CHAU VALLEY
Today we follow road 43 to reach itthe riverwhile exploring the most breathtaking sights in North Vietnam. Upon arrival on the Van Yen Ferry, the entire crew crosses the river's famous reservoir. After a short break we continue on the winding dream roads that lead across the entire lakeMai Chau.
Along the way, you'll pass through numerous local villages where the locals catch several fish on two sides of the lake or work on huge slopes. Before arriving in Mai Chau, the whole team will have lunch at a local restaurant en route.
After reaching Mai Chau, take a short tour of the village to learn about local life. Country life starts early just after sunrise, so there are plenty of activities to take part in.
See how Thai women, who are master weavers, create their unique traditional clothing for sale in the center of the village. Women weaving their masterpieces on brightly colored looms in or under their own homes is one such watercolor painting of ethnic minority country life. In fact, you should buy a unique knife, crossbow or traditional clothing as a souvenir of this unforgettable trip.
DAY 5: MAI CHAU MOTORCYCLE TOUR TO PU LUONG NATURE RESERVE – NA MEO BORDERGATE
In the morning we will have breakfast before departing from Mai Chau to drive the 70 km route to Pu Luong Nature Reserve in Ba Thuoc and Quan Hoa (Thanh Hoa) districts. Bounded by Tan Lac, Lac Son and Mai Chau of Hoa Binh,Pu Luong Nature Reserveis worth your visit.
The beautiful nature reserve lies directly along two mountain ridges on a parallel course from the north-western region to the south-eastern region bisected by the central valley. Here you can see huge agricultural areas and numerous human settlements. We will have lunch at Pu Luong en route before reaching thatBorder Gate Na Meowhere we will stay overnight in a guest house.
TAG 6: GRENZGANG NAMEO – SAM NEUA MOTORRADTOUR NACH VIENG XAI – XIENG KHOANG (F/M/-) 250 KM
Today we will officially leave Vietnam to start the day tour in Laos. At the border gate, all immigration procedures needed with customs before migrating to Laos will be completed by our tour guide. After entering Laos territory, the entire crew will be greeted by a Laos guide who will take you there for a rideVieng Xailater. Visit us in the morningStanding Stones of Suan Hinbefore enjoying lunchNam Neun.
After lunch you continue on a high road. At the bottom of the street, take a short break at the famousThere Piew-Höhlefor a panoramic view and learn about the history of the cave. Then we turn onto a paved road that leads to usPhonsavanlate afternoon.
Stay here in Phonsavan and enjoy dinner before a relaxing night on the back of your motorbike after a long day of touring.
TAG 7: XIENG KHOUANG MOTOR TOUR NACH PAKSAN (F,M,A) – 270 KM
The day begins with an interesting drive to Site 1 inside the Mysterylevel of the jugs, which puts us a 10-minute drive out of town. After that, continue the motorbike tour to sites 2 and 3. Then we will drive around to visit themAltes Xieng Khouangto enjoy lunch before returning via Phonsavan.
On the dirt road loop through the northern region, the entire crew will visit several remote villages. What is special about this area is that it was damaged by heavy bombing in the 1960s-1970s and bomb craters were scattered along the road.
The next goal isTheme, the capital of Bolikhamxay. Sitting at the intersection ofMekong and Nam San rivers, Paksan is almost opposite a small townBueng Kan. Complete check-in at your guest house before dinner.
TAG 8: PAKSAN MOTORRADTOUR ROAD (F,M,A) – 184 KM
The 8th day of the cross-border motorcycle tour will be full of fun and surprises. Today's goal isLak Sao, a dreamy city among magnificent onesPhou Pha Phi HongKalkberg. Amidst sprawling forests, Lak Sao is such a sleeping beauty in the forest.
Along the way, the entire crew will admire the breathtaking landscapes through spectacular ridges, dramatic limestone mountains and even endless peaceful streams and rivers. Relax and recharge your batteries at the hot spring next doorBan Neckwhich is 18 km far away from Lak Sao. The steaming water in the natural pool makes for an extremely pleasant feeling before you continue to the guest house for check-in.
TAG 9: LAK SAO – KONG LOR – THAKHEK (F,M) – 285 KM
Kong Lor Cave, with a length of 7.5 kilometers, will be an amazing place to visit today. What is special is that you will see a huge river flowing through the middle part of the stunning cave. Take a fun boat ride to discover the cave and continue the tourThakhekafterward.
Located on the other side of the Mekong, Thakhek is considered the sleepy capital of Khamman from the small town in Nakhon Phanom. Although Thakhek is quieter than other exciting cities in Laos, this place is still an interesting destination for tourists as the friendliest and largest city in Khammam province.
The evening will be so amazing as after check-in you can enjoy dinner and some time to yourself. Spend a good night here at the local hotel.
TAG 10: THAKHEK MOTORRADTOUR NACH SAVANNAKHET (F,M) – 150 KM
Explore the best of the city before heading thereSavannekhetToday. Highlights of today's trip include:Tham Xang Cave,This is the very first one you will reach after leaving Tha Khaek for an amazing exploration of this area.
Here you will see countless Buddha statues while enjoying an impressive panoramic view of the surroundings of the Buddha Cave.Tham Pha Fa. This place is considered a sacred site for national Buddhists with many hundred-year-old Buddha images.
Absolutely, there are several rural landscapes to explore on this route that will leave a strong impression and excitement after the journey. Straight roads are also in good condition, allowing you to drive easily and quickly. Outside of Thakhek in Ban Phon-Gnia Noy visit the bustling markets here as an interesting stopover where you can find cheap and delicious bananas for sale.
Upon arrival in Savannakhet, check into the hotel. Then enjoy the evening free to explore the city with your own itinerary and plans. Feel free to enjoy the delicious dinner with whatever you like. Remember to get a full night's sleep to recharge your batteries after a long day trip.
DAY 11: SAVANNAKHET MOTORCYCLE TOUR TO PAKSE (B,M) – 240 KM
Picturesque views will be the best part of today's journey. Driving through bridges crossing peaceful rivers will add more excitement to your routeDick. Climbing the top of the mountain to the sacred Temple of the Golden Buddha will immerse you in panoramic views over the city of Pakse and the Mekong River.
In the evening enjoy dinner and free time on your own. Return to hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 12: PAKSE MOTORCYCLE TOUR TO WAT PHOU – 4000 ISLAND (F,M) – 140 KM
The ride toSi Phan DonGetting around, home to over 4000 islands of all shapes and sizes is easy today. Go south, you will passWhat Pho, an ancient ruined Khmer Hindu temple complex where you can admire breathtaking scenes over the Mekong and surrounding areas.
Wat Phou is always listed among the oldest and most important archaeological sites in Laos. This Khmer architecture is also made of popular materials such as laterite, brick and sandstone.
Since the mid-13th century, Wat Phu has become a symbol of Buddhist religious practice in Laos. Tourists interested in Lao archeology and history will surely love this place.
Next, keep drivingDon Khong, the largest island in Si Phan Don. Enjoy lunch here and then take a boat tour around the island. Along the Mekong you will reachwhere is the waterfallwhere you can see powerful waterfalls cascading down at exotic angles.
The cluster of islands will make you feel peaceful amidst breathtaking natural beauty. Take stunning photos until late afternoon. The entire crew then returns to the hotel and has the rest of the day at leisure.
DAY 13: 4000 ISLAND MOTORCYCLE TOUR VIA DONG KRALOR TO KRATIE (B/-/D)
The road to the Cambodian border that we will be driving today is fairly easy and fast with little traffic. Say goodbye to the trip to Laos and hit the roadDong Kralor border, where you will be greeted by a new guide.
Keep walking until you reachKratie. We stop on the wayLager,where you can see the rare freshwater dolphin in the Mekong here. Check in first, then explore the colonial town of Kratie on your own. Night in Kratie will also be great.
DAY 14: KRATIE MOTORCYCLE TOUR TO KAMPONG CHAM (B/L/D)
Today we ride through peaceful riverside villages along the famous Mekong River. We stop on the wayChhlong, the city since French colonial times that still retains distinctive French architecture.
After arrivalKampong Cham, we will check in first before crossing Cambodia's longest bridge towards Koh Pen. This particular bridge here is made of light woods and bamboo. At the end of the day, return to Kampong Cham for relaxation.
TAG 15: KAMPONG CHAM MOTORRADTOUR NACH PHNOM PENH (F/M/-)
If you jump onto road 7, you will enter the route from Kampong Cham to the capital,Phnom Penh. You'll pass by on the streetPhnom ProfisAndWat Nokorto understand some more interesting things about modern and ancient Buddhism in this country.
Immediately after entering Phnom Penh, check in at the hotel. Then the whole team visits theRoyal Palace, which is considered the home of His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni. Silver Pagoda will be the next stop for the whole team.

DAY 16: PHNOM PENH MOTORCYCLE TOUR VIA SKUN TO KAMPONG THOM (B/L/D)
Today the distance is 220 km, so you should prepare well before the journey starts in the morning. After hearing a safety briefing and introduction from the guide, we hop on the bikes to ride along a village trail along the Mekong RiverSkunk, the most famous city for the delicious fried tarantula, a unique delicacy of this area.
Riding along the cities that leadKampong Thom, we will pass tons of huge local plantation areas, including even rubber plantations. Back to Kampong Thom for a happy night.
DAY 17: KAMPONG THOM MOTORCYCLE TOUR VIA SAMBO PREY KUH TO SIEM REAP (B/L/D)
Get ready for an exhilarating dirt bike ride today over 200km fromKampong Thom to Siem Reap. The road won't be very challenging, so don't worry. Just feel relaxed as you drive along paved and flat gravel roads.
In the morning, the whole team leaves Kampong Thom to reach itSambo Prei Kuh, the largest pre-Angkorian complex. Continue towardsSiem Reap, You will reach the hotel in the afternoon. Enjoy the facilities there before the next tour dayAngkor Temple. Siem Reap will be the place where you will spend the whole night.
TAG 18: SIEM REAP – ANGKOR WAT – TA PROHM – ANGKOR THOM (F/M/A)
Wake up early in the morning so you can join the entire crew to visitAngkor Wat, the greatest masterpiece of unique Khmer architecture at sunrise. Angkor Wat is considered the mother of all temples and houses exceptional carvings on bas-reliefs. The historical relics are known not only as a symbol and pride of the Khmer people, but also as the largest religious monument in the world.
In 1992 Angkor Wat was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, so we are sure you will have an interesting experience here. Continue the tour until noon, then you and your fellow passengers return to the hotel.
Next, visit scenicTa Prohmin the middle of a huge jungle. The temple is covered by tentacle-like roots of towering trees. This site is measured in several centuries instead of days. You will continue to exploreAngkor Thomto discover his mysterious city.

A delicious breakfast is prepared at the hotel. There are no tour activities today, so you can enjoy everything at your leisureSiem Reap. Dinner and overnight stay will be at your hotel.
DAY 20: SIEM REAP – DEPARTURE (B/-/-)
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel to get enough energy for the last day of the cross-border motorcycle tour. Today is also the time for you to do whatever it takes for fun and excitement until check-out time from your hotel. You will then be transferred to the airport for departure back to your hometown. Your tour officially ends.

- Deposit and Payment Policy
- We require a deposit of 30% of the total amount upon confirmation of the tour booking. The balance is paid 45 days before departure. Your booking may be considered canceled if Vietnam Motorbike Tours Club has not received the full balance by that time.
- You may choose to pay by bank transfer or credit card payment, with any transfer fees/fees to be borne by you.
- After receiving your payment, we will email you the final confirmation of the detailed itinerary and services.
- Cancellation and Refund
- Vietnam Motorbike Tours Club takes no responsibility for flight delays or scheduled changes at any point during the trip.
- We have the discretion to change the itinerary or reschedule the tour due to weather, local conditions, politics or various other reasons with our advance notice.
- Should you break any of the rules during the tour, without prior exception from the guide, we have the discretion to cancel the tour with no refund.
- Should your bike have minor technical problems during the tour, our guide/mechanic will try to fix it as soon as possible. In the event that the bike cannot be repaired within the day, we will endeavor to replace a bike of a similar type to ensure your journey is not disrupted.
- Should you need to cancel the tour for any special reason, you can transfer your booking to someone else. However, you are responsible for ensuring that your nominee pays its monies in full.

Can you ride a motorbike from Vietnam to Cambodia? ›
Otherwise known as the “Ha Tien” crossing, this coastal border between Vietnam and Cambodia is open to international tourists. We have met people who took their motorbikes across the border at this checkpoint and had no problems.
